Going with the Flow

zero-G Lightweight Hose

We have tried a few different hoses between our time owning a house and at the start of RV life. The zero-G hose seems to be the best all around hose out there for RV life! To start its a light and flexible hose which makes it easy to store and use. It also is kink resistant and the large connections on the ends make a strong connection and we have not experienced any leaks with this hose. We have loved the hose so much we actually bought a second one for extra length (which came in handy at more than one location) and to let the kids use when it gets hot outside!

Water Meter

It may seem like just an extra thing to buy but I believe having a water meter is essential and can save you from making costly mistakes. The main way we use our water meter is to monitor how much water we are putting into our fresh water tank for when we go boondocking. We also use it when flushing our tanks to make sure we dont overfill them and create a mess. Finally we have a water meter on our hose for our city water connection so we can make sure we dont have any slow leaks in our system by checking every so often if water is flowing when we aren’t currently using any. As you can see a water meter can be a very versatile tool for all things water related in your RV and we believe its a must have item!

Clearsource Ultra OnBoard Pro RV Water Filter System

We knew we when we started RV life that we were going to be all over the country and boondocking so we wanted to ensure we always had clean water. For that reason we went with the Clearsource water filter system that allowed us to place this unit directly in line with our water connection in our RV and permanently mount it in our storage compartment. We’ve seen first hand the difference that this system makes when we changed out the filters and saw how dirty they were compared to the new ones! We are so glad we made it a priority to have clean water and encourage everyone else to have a filter with any water they use in their RV.
